Wadsworth Practice

The team traveled down to defending Division 1 State Wrestling Champion Wadsworth for a post-Thanksgiving practice on Saturday. This was a good experience for many of the wrestlers. It gave them a chance to see how they fared against some of the top wrestlers in the state. It also gave them different styles of wrestlers to compete against, instead of the same guys from our room. What I saw made me happy with our progress so far, but we still have much to work on. We only have a week and a half until our first match.

Urinalysis Test @ Willoughby South

On Friday we did our urinalysis test for the year at Willoughby South High School. In the nine years since I have been a coach at Euclid, we had more wrestlers take this test than in any other year. The 42 in all, with only 2 people failing the dehydration portion, makes it a record for us and also a great start to the season. It shows the dedication that many have for this grueling sport.
