Week Six: Shaker Heights

Last night, the Euclid wrestling team traveled to Shaker Heights to face them in a dual for the first time in around 8 years. The match started with the Red Raiders forfeiting the 103 weight class. Shaker then won the next three matches in a row to take a 15-6 lead. Darsheed Mustafa scored a needed pin to pull the score within a victory, 15-12. We then lost the next two matches by a decision and pin and Shaker increased their lead to 24-12. Shaker then ran into the wrecking crew of upper-classmen and Zak Adkins, David Cozart, Rynell Roper, Dylan Norwood all pinned and Lamar Gunter and Noah Brown picked up forfeits that allowed us to take a commanding 48-24 lead going into the last match. Linje Ross dropped a close 4-3 decision for the final dual score of 48-27. The Panthers leave Shaker still undefeated in the Lake Erie League at 4-0. Great job wrestlers!
